Although James Mordaunt made his first public appearance with Libera in 2008, the first time mini James caught my eyes was about a year later in Los Angeles, California. To be honest, I didn't have much impression about him... until I accidentally bumped into him in a souvenir shop at the Crystal Cathedral when me and my friend were waiting on the line as he joined the queue behind me. That was probably the first time I took a good look at him and he looked like an Archangel's feather-soft, delicate and small. Then I sensed some weird kind of moral responsibility to let him check out before me, which I was extremely thankful for since the boy's face lit up like a little star with his cheerful "thank you very much!" That was incredibly lovely moment of mini James. I think I kinda embarrassed him with my "AWW you're SO CUUTE!" during the meet and greet session, but I couldn't help it :p
I have been very proud of his achievement in Libera as I have expressed it here and there on my blog. Mini James and Freddie Ingles have performed lovely duets on "Prayer" and "Love and Mercy" that melted every fan's heart. Moreover, their new album, Peace, was another great platform to portray the feathery voice of his. I was especially impressed by his recent performance of "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" as you can watch it below. He seemed absolutely relaxed and comfortable doing a solo on a live stage. The boy has some good nerves. I like that :) He definitely has a great potential to become a main soloist in Libera in upcoming years and I'm really excited to see what he will show us.
Mini James is undoubtedly adorable and talented young boy, but I truly enjoy listening what he has to say on interviews as much as I like him singing. Considering he just turned big 11, it's quite impressive that he already gave various impressive interviews at the age of 10. Yes, yesss, I'm a huge sucker for young presenters... but seriously, it's like he knows exactly what's the most appropriate thing to say and nails it down in one sweet sentence! I think that's a pretty gifted talent for a 10 (well, now 11) year old.
So yeah, to sum it up, I think you are pretty cool mini James! Keep up the great work!! :)
